The Georgia Bulldogs (#3) came into this home match up against the Alabama Crimson Tide (#8) feeling quite confident. So much so that the players took the field wearing their black jerseys for only the third time in school history, declaring that game to be a “blackout”. As is with the tradition all the Georgia fans in attendance followed suit. But someone forgot to tell Alabama that this was suppose give the Bulldogs some sort of edge. The Crimson Tide jumped out to a huge 31 point lead in the first half, and but for some aggressive and lucky play by the Bulldogs to make the game close towards the end, it could have been a lot worse.
