The Crimson Tide opened up their 2014 campaign against the high octane, hurry up/no huddle (HUNH) offensive attack of the West Virginia Mountaineers. Alabama has recently come under some criticism for their lack of effectiveness against the HUNH. And the Tide’s defensive secondary certainly took their lumps in this contest. But in the end they emerged victorious, and the Bama offense even debuted a bit of HUNH of their own to boot. The special teams looked pretty sharp as well, with the exception of giving up the return for TD just before the half. Doh! It wasn’t pretty, but a win, is a win.
