In a pair of NIT Season Tip Off games last week at Madison Squard Garden in New York, Alabama had anemic first half production, scoring 22 first half points in a 74-64 loss to Duke and 21 in an 85-83 loss to Drexel. Tuesday night Bama had 25 points bef…
When Alabama lost to Auburn Saturday, the Crimson Tide’s first loss of the season, the general consensus was that not only did Bama lose its chance for a third consecutive national championship, but also that quarterback AJ McCarron may have lost his chance to win the Heisman Trophy. That may or may not be true.
Taj Griffin (5’9/170) is a speedster from McEachern High School in Powder Springs, Ga. Here is an HD look at him in a playoff game against Hughes.

From almost since the end of Alabama’s BCS National Championship Game win over Notre Dame, our contention has been that the Crimson Tide would have to go undefeated in 2013 to make it to a third consecutive championship game. If you have a terminal illness, don’t go to Lourdes. Go to Jordan-Hare Stadium, the home of miracles. When it seeme that surely Auburn had all the luck any team could have in a game against Georgia two weeks ago, the Tigers got a bit more for what is likely the biggest win in Auburn football history Saturday, scoring two touchdowns in the final 32 seconds to end Alabama’s undefeated season, 34-28.
No one, not even Nick Saban, could find a way to put this year’s Iron Bowl into perspective. A game billed as the biggest Iron Bowl ever ended in the most improbable way imaginable, and Saban was as shocked as the rest of us.
The 2013 version of the Iron Bowl may be the most critical in determining the fate of college football this fall, as No. 1 Alabama travels to face No. 4 Auburn. Crimson Tide commitments are well aware of the task ahead, and offer predictions of the gam…
