TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — LaMichael Fanning is leaving the University of Alabama for Jacksonville State, according to a source. The former four-star prospect had spent time at defensive end and tight end for the Tide in three seasons.
Fanning played sparingly and was suspended Oct. 23. The suspension was for violation of team rules and he never practiced with the team again. He will be immediately eligible to play at JSU.
At 6-foot-7 and 270 pounds, Fanning has the size and athleticism to play several positions.
