The Crimson Tide finished its second weekend of scrimmages on Sunday. Friday and Sunday were traditional intrasquads bookending Saturday’s first ever Alumni Game. The Saturday event welcomed back nearly 250 former players, coaches and managers, providing all alumni a chance to reconnect with former teammates and members of the Alabama baseball program. The former members of the Crimson Tide baseball family also got their first look at the new Sewell-Thomas Stadium, taking tours and getting a chance to experience the .525 Club and Home Plate Club following the scrimmage that pitted the alumni against the current 2016 roster.
Monday started a week of traditional practices that will end on Thursday. Friday will begin with stretch and batting practice before first pitch at 3:30 p.m. CT. The team will return to the field on Saturday for a 2:30 p.m. start and then host its final intrasquad on Sunday at 1:45 p.m. CT. As always, the trio of scrimmages are open to the public with seating available throughout the lower bowl and in the right field terrace area.
