The Alabama Crimson Tide rushing attack going early in the BCS National Championship. Running back Eddie Lacy landed the first blow with a slashing 20 yard run for a touchdown. Lacy went on to gain 140 yards and score 2 touchdowns in the game (one rushing, one receiving).
Alabama running back Eddie Lacy had another stellar performance against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the BCS National Championship. He ran for 140 yards including a 20 yard dash and a Touchdown. This is the second game in a row that Lacy has gone well over the 100 yard mark. Over last two games he has rushed for more than 300 yards and 3 touchdowns.
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish came out swinging in the 3rd quarter since they were down 28-0 in the BCS National Championship. They were moving the ball down the field and pressing into Alabama territory to get into position to score.
Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron looked to be as poised and determined as ever before against the vaunted Fighting Irish defense. He threw for 264 yards completing 20 of 28 passes including 4 touchdowns and seemed completely comfortable in the pocket throughout the game.
The Alabama Crimson Tide dominated the undefeated Notre Dame Fighting Irish from start to finish in this edition of the BCS National Championship. Notre Dame didn’t even manage to score any points throughout the entire first half and it wasn’t until Alabama had amassed a 35-0 lead that Notre Dame was finally able to score a touchdown midway through the 3rd quarter.
The Alabama Crimson Tide faced off against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish for the BCS National Championship at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida on January 7th, 2013. The total dominance of Alabama started early and didn’t let up until the Crimson Tide had ran up a 35-0 lead by the third quarter. Notre Dame finally put some points on the scoreboard midway through the third quarter but by then it was much too late for the Fighting Irish to muster any kind of a comeback. With this win the SEC extends it’s dominion on college football after now winning 7 straight National Championships in a row.
