BIRMINGHAM, Alabama – Alabama has several key unofficial visitors coming to campus today (QB Kai Locksley, QB Travis Waller, QB Blake Burnett and DE James Lockhart), but one recruit will make a key decision three hours north.
Columbia, Tenn., tight end Jackson Harris is scheduled to announce his commitment tonight at 6 at his high school. He will pick between Alabama, Georgia and Vanderbilt.
The 6-foot-5, 250-pound Harris is a four-star recruit and rated as the No. 10 tight end nationally on the 247Sports composite rankings.
Harris visited Alabama late last week. Alabama has a commitment from tight end Hale Hentges, but appears to be recruiting two tight ends from this class. Alabama has also offered Montgomery’s Jalen Harris at the position.
Of 38 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions, 61 percent are trending towards Georgia as of 9 a.m., with 34 percent picking Alabama and five percent predicting Vanderbilt. Earlier this week, Alabama had an edge in the predictions.
