The Alabama Crimson Tide marched into Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee with a 6-0 record to take on the Tennessee Volunteers for the annual "Third Saturday in October" rivalry match up. Alabama looked to be in Championship form by outplaying the Vols in every phase of the game. AJ McCarron even looked to be the superior quarterback that night over Tennessee's Tyler Bray, who many consider to be one of the SEC's best quarterbacks. McCarron threw for 306 yards completing 17 of 22 passes while throwing for 4 touchdowns and no interceptions. Simply put, the Tide rolled to a convincing 44-13 victory.
