Linebacker Nico Johnson, much like a slew of his Alabama teammates, figured Notre Dame would at least try to establish a running game to go along with the passing of Everett Golson in Monday’s BCS National Championship. The Fighting Irish attempted just 19 rushes against Alabama in Monday’s 42-14 rout. That’s the fewest of any of the Crimson Tide’s opponents this season.
