As noted in today's practice report, the Alabama football team is ranked No. 3 in the preseason Super 16 rankings released Monday by the Football Writers Association of America. The Crimson Tide was ranked No. 2 in the two major preseason polls (the coaches’ poll and The Associated Press poll). USC is ranked No. 1 in the FWAA poll, as it was in the AP poll. LSU is ranked No. 2, one spot below its ranking in the coaches’ poll.
