Derek Dooley has been fired as Tennessee's head coach, the school announced in a statement Sunday. The Volunteers will immediately begin a new search to fill its head coaching vacancy. Dooley will not coach Tennessee Saturday in the season finale against Kentucky. Offensive coordinator Jim Chaney will serve as interim head coach. Tennessee becomes the third SEC program to officially launch a coaching search. The others are Kentucky and Arkansas. Tennessee athletics director Dave Hart is scheduled to address reporters at 1 p.m.
