McCarron, a Mobile native, earned offensive MVP honors in the national championship after he completed 23-of-34 passes for 234 yards. He won a quarterback battle against Phillip Sims, and started all of Alabama's 13 games throwing for 2,634 yards, 16 touchdowns and just five interceptions.
