Barrett Jones mixed a little humor with serious comments Tuesday night in his Campbell Trophy acceptance speech in New York. “The best part of this trip has been getting to meet these guys," the senior center said after becoming the first Alabama player to win the prestigious award, considered the Heisman Trophy for student-athletes. "They’ve all been extremely nice, with the exception of one. "There’s been this linebacker from Notre Dame who’s been giving me weird looks the whole time. I don’t know why. Every time I turn around, he’s staring at me."
