Head coach Charlie Strong and the rest of the Texas coaching staff are looking at numerous top tier prospects for not only 2015 but 2016 as well. They found one in tight end Kaden Smith. He has offers from Texas, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Stanford, Oklahoma and Ole Miss to name a few. Smith was able to visit Texas for the second time.
”My dad and I drove down and reached Austin about four,” Kaden Smith said. “We went to see the coaches and I met coach Strong. I ended up only doing the first half of the camp and talked about academics the second half.”
Even though Charlie Strong is in his first year as the Texas head coach he is making great strides with some of the states top talent.
”It was great and cool seeing the coaches again,” Smith said. “They stand near the top. I had a nice talk with coach Strong yesterday. I love the staff and they remind me of my high school coaches, people I can enjoy being around. The weight room is real impressive and so is the strength coach.”
One of the top tight end prospects in the class of 2016 had a chance to visit the University of Texas for the second time and came away impressed. Kaden Smith checks in at 6-foot-5, 235-pound from Flower Mound (TX) Marcus high school.
