CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The men’s tennis team added another six wins on Saturday at the Harvard Chowdah Fest with three coming in singles and another three in doubles.
All three of the Crimson Tide’s singles wins came in straight sets. Sophomore Sean Donohue defeated senior Ciaran Fitzgerald of San Diego, 6-3, 6-2. Freshman Langford Hills blew past sophomore Patrick Hall of San Diego 6-3, 6-1, and fellow freshman Sam Edwards defeated freshman James Ponwith of San Diego in similar fashion, 6-2, 6-0.
In doubles play against the Toreros, the duo of Donohue and freshman Danny Kerznerman took down freshman Jordan Angus and sophomore Filip Vittek 8-7(4). Edwards and junior Becker O’Shaughnessey earned themselves a victory against Ponwith and junior Romain Kalaydijan, 8-5, while Hills and sophomore Nikko Madregallejo also snagged a win against Hall and sophomore Geoffrey Fosso, 8-7(4).
Match play will resume for the final day of the tournament on Sunday with another round of singles and doubles.
