NFL Report: Foley’s Julio Jones helps Atlanta Falcons stay unbeaten (video)
The Atlanta Falcons remained the NFL’s only undefeated team by beating the Dallas Cowboys 19-13 on Sunday night, and former Foley High School standout Julio Jones again played a big part in the Atlanta attack. Jones, a wide receiver who played at Alabama in college, caught five passes for 129 yards against the Cowboys. His receptions included a 38-yarder that he made even though Dallas cornerback Morris Claiborne was flagged on interference on the play. Jones also had catches of 48, 20, 18 and 5 yards.

Atlanta wide receiver Julio Jones of Foley provided the highlights for the Coastal Alabamians playing in the NFL on Sunday. The former Alabama standout was targeted only five times by Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan on a blustery day in Philadelphia, but Jones caught all five passes for 123 yards and one touchdown as the Falcons stayed undefeated with a 30-17 victory over the Eagles.

Former Alabama star Julio Jones opened the second NFL preseason of his career with a bang, hauling in six catches for 109 yards, including one spectacular touchdown, in a losing effort for the Atlanta Falcons who fell 17-31 to the Baltimore Ravens. Jones’ impressive performance was highlighted by an amazing one-handed touchdown grab that could qualify as the first must-see play of the 2012 NFL season. Check out video of Jones’ amazing catch.
