He’s having far too much fun delivering crushing hits as a core member of Alabama’s special teams units. That’s been the only constant throughout his redshirt freshman season, and he’s made the most of it.
Backup running back Brent Calloway ran a career-high seven times for a career-high 52 yards Saturday in the Alabama football team’s 49-0 victory over Western Carolina. Calloway also had three tackles (two solo) on kickoff coverage. Afterward, coach Nick Saban was asked what he thought of the redshirt freshman’s performance.
