Montgomery man turns up the Alabama pride with Crimson Tide tailgating anthem (video)
With the Iron Bowl coming up and Alabama ranked as one of the top teams in the country, it’s a good day to be a Crimson Tide fan. Isn’t it about time the team got its own party anthem to unite fans, whether at home watching the game or tailgating on the quad, in the celebration of all things Alabama? “Turn it up” by Nucklez, a rap character created by Montgomery resident Tony Beckham, is just that.

If you follow any Alabama fans on Facebook or Twitter, there’s a pretty good chance you’ve seen one particular video clip posted several times this week. The video titled “Bama fan trashing Tennessee” has been making the rounds on message boards and social media sites since it was first posted on Youtube back on October 18, 2007, just days before Alabama’s 41-17 victory over the Tennessee Volunteers.
Don’t laugh at fleet-footed fans
Fans lined up for hours in advance in some cases to get an earlier shot at getting an autograph from Alabama coach Nick Saban at Alabama football media day. While some would scoff at such behavior, those enterprising fans got the coach’s signature fairly quickly and moved on to the other players and coaches, while others spent the whole time sweating in the heat waiting for Saban. So who’s laughing now?
