TUSCALOOSA, Alabama – Junior inside linebacker Nico Johnson saw his role grow Saturday in Alabama’s 38-10 victory at Florida. Johnson normally plays in the Crimson Tide’s “regular” 3-4 defense but is replaced by sophomore C.J. Mosley in nickel and dime defenses. But Mosley was out with an elbow injury, so Johnson filled in as as inside linebacker on the nickel defense. Alabama coach Nick Saban was pleased with Johnson’s performance. TUSCALOOSA, Alabama – Nico Johnson had one unassisted tackle Saturday in third-ranked Alabama’s 38-14 victory over 14th-ranked Arkansas. The inside linebacker helped the Crimson Tide hold the Razorbacks’ potent offense to 226 total yards.
