Alabama confirms safety Robert Lester will return to Crimson Tide
TUSCALOOSA, Alabama – Safety Robert Lester will return to Alabama for his senior season, the school announced in as part of a press release. Lester had been wavering between Alabama and the NFL. He quickly becomes the veteran of the secondary after Thursday’s announcement that cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick, running back Trent Richardson and linebacker Dont’a Hightower will enter the NFL draft.

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama – Robert Lester will return to Alabama for his senior season, according to ESPN’s Joe Schad via Twitter. Schad’s Tweet read, “Alabama S Robert Lester has told coaches he is STAYING in school after considering NFL Draft.” Lester would be the fourth underclassman to choose to stay in school rather than make the early jump to the NFL. Offensive linemen Barrett Jones, Chance Warmack and D.J. Fluker all announced last month their intention to return to school.

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama – Never mind the fact that Tennessee now is a 30-point underdog for Saturday’s game against Alabama at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Junior safety Robert Lester isn’t taking the Vols (3-3, 0-3 in the Southeastern Conference) lightly. Why? Because this is a rivalry game. “They’re going to bring their ‘A’ game,” he said. “Of course, we’re going to bring ours, and, you know, it’s going to be a good game.” In this video, he talks about the rivalry as well his first interception of the season, which came last week in a 52-7 victory at Ole Miss.
