The inclusion of two players who were contemporaries in the announcement on Thursday of the College Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2014 is starting to bring the SEC’s hall representation up to date, relatively speaking.
The College Football Hall of Fame will reveal its Class of 2014 at 11:30 a.m. Thursday. The SEC has 80 players and 27 coaches in the College Football Hall of Fame and 10 players and one coach on this year’s final list of nominees for the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision, which includes 75 players and six coaches.
Ten former SEC stars and one ex-coach are on this year’s ballot for the College Football Hall of Fame. The National Football Foundation released the ballot for the College Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2014 on Thursday. The NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision portion of the ballot lists 75 players, including three apiece from Alabama and Tennessee, and six coaches.
