TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The 2015 Tide Tipoff, hosted by the Alabama men’s and women’s basketball teams, will be a special fan-friendly event for UA students, season ticketholders of all sports and Alabama faculty and staff.
The event, which will be similar to a midnight madness, will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at Coleman Coliseum.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. CT with a 45-minute autograph session featuring both teams and coaches in the south concourse of the coliseum. They will then participate in a variety of activities on court including team introductions, a skills competition and a three-point shootout. New to the list of activities is a dunk contest with celebrity judges.
Following the on-court activities, hip hop duo Rae Sremmurd will take the floor where they will perform a variety of songs to entertain the fans.
Admission to the event is free for UA students as well as season ticketholders for men’s and women’s basketball, football, volleyball, gymnastics, baseball and softball and faculty and staff of The University of Alabama. Season ticketholders and faculty and staff have received an e-mail from the Alabama Ticket Office to claim print-at-home tickets online. Each individual from the season ticketholder or faculty and staff group can claim up to 10 tickets. Hard tickets can also be picked up on the day of the event inside Coleman Coliseum for season ticket holders or faculty and staff members of record only. UA students, admitted one per student ID, will swipe their Action Card similar to a regular men’s basketball game at the west entrance of Coleman Coliseum on event night beginning at 6 p.m.
Seating at the event will be first come, first serve with general admission seating. UA students will have their first opportunity to sit in the newly designated student section along with special seating on the floor for this event.
Season tickets for the upcoming men’s and women’s basketball seasons are currently available and can be purchased online at RollTide.com/Tickets, by phone at 1-877-TIDETIX (843-3849) or at the Alabama Ticket Office, located in the lobby of Coleman Coliseum.
